Unfortunately some of the photographs of works were not as good as they might have been.
The paintings elicited many favourable comments, with purchase offers although it was not a selling exhibition. Some people travelled from interstate to view the exhibition.
An exhibition of Robert Finlayson's paintings was held at the Margot Hardy Gallery, University of Western Sydney in the spring of 2002, about 18 months after the artist's death. This was a select, non-selling exhibition of just 20 works.
